About Holly
Holly Schulte employs analogue photography techniques inspired by 19th & early 20th Century practitioners of image making, botany and science. She is a photographer, artist, curator, collections and digitisation professional.
Holly’s artworks are made with or without a camera. Her images often the result of hand-printed darkroom photography or alternative techniques, including photogram and lumen print processes.
Holly is fascinated by the colour, classification and collecting of the natural world, practices in the history of photography, and the diversity in museums and archives encountered through her professional work.
Holly began her career as a photographer after tertiary studies in the field and has worked in the cultural heritage sector for more than 20 years.
